Every week throughout the winter season, Geilo Ski school offers fun and exciting activities. Join for a family evening trip with tobogganing and campfire, try snowboarding for the first time or join for kids afterski.

Join us on KiDs SKi fUN
Let’s have fun skiing, together with friends, siblings, and other children. We explore the ski area in Geilo and will look for the best slopes to ski.
We ski forest trails, terrain waves, slalom gates and for those who like, we will ski jumps and rails in the snow park. Here, it’s all about having fun, while skiing in a safe environment. You get the chance to meet other children, improve your skiing and above all – We will have fun!
We also take a well-deserved break at SlaattaStugu with a hot chocolate and home-baked Slaattabolle. This is included in the price.

Tuesdays - Snowboard taster
Interested in snowboarding but not sure where to start? Get the taste and join our snowboard taster!
This course will let you get the first feel of snowboarding. It will give you an introduction to the basic moves including stance, balance and control. It takes place on our beginner slope and it’s ideal for adults and children (6+) who have never experienced snowboarding before.
The instructor will be able to answer questions you may have about the equipment and technique.

TUESDAYS - Cross country taster
Do you want to try Cross country skiing? Now you have the chance.
Join us on a “try out” cross country course. It will give you an introduction to the basic technique in classic style. We ski the tracks down the Ustedalsfjord (lake) as far as the trails permit. Skis, boots and poles are included in the price. When it gets dark we use headtorches.
Meet at Slaatta 30 min before starting to pick up and customize equipment in the ski rental.

Kids Huski Race og Marshmallows party
Join for fun and exciting slalom race and afterski. We start of with a slalom race and afterwards we play games, listen and dance to music and grill marshmallows over the open fire.
The slalom race is held on a green and easy slope so everyone can participate. Everyone gets a medal after the ski race.
When: Wednesdays at 14.10
Duration: 1-1,5 h

Meeting place: Pick up the start number and assigned start time at the reception at Slaatta (latest 13.30)

WEDNESDAYS - Evening family tour with sledge and campfire
Join on a cozy family evening where you get to try snowshoeing, sledding and bake bread on a stick around the campfire – with friends and family!
For thousands of years snowshoeing has been a mode of transportation. Snowshoeing today is a fantastic way to experience this Winter Wonderland and you will have plenty of time to enjoy the scenery.
We will explore the forest around Slaatta and finish off with fun tobogganing. We also bake bread on a stick over the campfire and if it’s dark we use head torches. We adapt the speed and distance in a way that everybody gets a memorable winter experience. You do not need any earlier experience from snowshoeing to join on this tour.
