BOOKING AND PAYMENT
It is the guests’ responsibility to check that the arrival and departure date, as well as everything else that is important for the booking, is correct. An order is binding as soon as an order number is assigned. If the guest does not pay on time, this is considered a cancellation, and then the cancellation policy applies. We recommend all our guests to print/bring the confirmation to show on arrival.
CANCELLATION AND CHANGES
We advise all our customers to have a good insurance prior to travel, in case of illness, loss or damage to travel items, accidents, liability etc. No compensation or refund is given in case of any unexpected malfunction, such as bad weather, power failure, machine failure, shutdowns / lifts etc.
Cancellation policy in relation to Covid-19 restrictions for the winter season 2021/2022
A number of measures are implemented to ensure that our guests feel safe during their stay in Geilo. We undertake at all times to follow the advice, rules and recommendations that come from the authorities, NIPH and not least the municipal superior.
We ask you as a guest to follow the authorities’ advice in relation to travel and infection control to prevent the spread of infection. The general advice for infection control in Norway is:
1. Sick people should stay at home
2. Good hand hygiene
3. Reduce contact between people, and keep at least 1 meter away from others than your loved ones
We also ask you to familiarize yourself with the rules / recommendations that are set in the ski resort, accommodation and elsewhere where you travel in Geilo to avoid infection.
For all reservations (ski school, lift pass, ski rental) made by persons not living in Norway who are affected by Covid-19 restrictions * and which make it impossible for the guest to travel to Norway, we guarantee cancellation with 100% refund until arrival date. The guest also has the opportunity to move their reservation to a later time at no extra cost.
* If Norway closes its borders
* If the country you are traveling from closes borders or advises against traveling to Norway
* If you have to be quarantined either in Norway or when you return to your home country
* If the destination is required to close
For all reservations (ski school, lift pass, ski rental) made by people living in Norway who are affected by Covid-19 restrictions * and which make it impossible to travel to Geilo, we guarantee cancellation with 100% refund right up to the arrival date.

If someone falls ill with Covid-19 or another illness before departure or during their stay, the guest is responsible and must contact their insurance company.
We otherwise refer to our ordinary order conditions.
SKI PASS
A ski pass can be refunded as long as it’s not been used. The ski pass is considered used when registered in lift reader, regardless the number of days the ski pass is applicable to. In case of illness or injury, the owner of the ski pass shall be entitled to a refund for the time the ski pass cannot be used. On request, illness or injury shall be documented by means of a medical certificate. The ski pass shall be turned in as quickly as possible. A refund will only be given to those who are ill or injured. No refunds are given for the purchase of an hour pass, day pass or point card.
SKI SCHOOL, ACTIVITIES AND EQUIPMENT RENTAL
In case of illness, injury or death pertaining to yourself, spouse, cohabitant, family or fellow companion there will be no refund, unless the reason falls within cancellation terms.
Cancellations before 3 days of arrival/ starting date are subject to a 100 % refund with a handling fee of NOK 250.
Cancellations less than 2 days before arrival/ starting date are subject to a 50 % refund.
Cancellations less than 1 day before arrival/ starting date are subject to a 25 % refund.
No show: 0 % refund.
We won’t give any refund on started ski school tuition, activity or rental period.
Any cancellations have to be done by writing to booking@geiloskiskole.no within opening hours, 09.00-15.30.
EQUIPMENT
Equipment insurance can be ordered online or purchased when picking up equipment. The insurance covers damage to equipment when used on groomed slopes/trails. It does not cover theft and personal injury. In the event of destruction of equipment that has been used off the trails (roads, pathways, etc.), the guest is financially responsible, even with insurance. When handing out equipment, the owner is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is prepared, checked and faultless. Damage and defects in the equipment that are not documented when the equipment is handed over are considered to have been inflicted by the guest even during their use. The owner is not liable for personal injures caused to the tentant when using rental equipment.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
The orderer is responsible:
– To assess whether they are physically and mentally fit to participate in the ordered activity.
– To have proper clothing for the ordered activity.
– To follow the instructions given before and during the activity.
– To ensure that the age limit is adhered
– To ensure that nobody booked shows up at the activity under influence of alcohol. If this occurs, that person will not be able to participate in the activity, and will get no refund.
-To show up at the right place and the right time as stated in the booking.
All activities take place at your own risk.
FORCE MAJEURE
Slaatta Skisenter AS shall not be liable for unsatisfactory weather conditions, closed facilities or any other circumstances beyond our control. We are subject to errors and changes in our price lists, description of services and technical support.
Both parties have the right to withdraw from the agreement if the activity can’t be completed as a result of local acts of war, natural disasters, terror, fire or similar major events that neither party has been able to predict or influence.
PRIVACY
When ordering a product or service at Slaatta Skisenter AS / Geilo Ski School, you agree to us registering you into our database. You enter information such as name, address, e-mail address and phone number. We store and use your information so that we can fulfil our obligations to you as a customer. We treat your personal information with the greatest care, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All information we provide from you is only used to optimize your customer experience with us and the information is not shared with outside parties. According to GDPR, you have the right to access and, or remove the information we have stored on you.
